Philippians 2:5-11
5 Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. 7 He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. 8 And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Nothing can separate us more from the people around us than our attitude and nothing can bring us closer together then our attitude. When others perceive we are genuine and open to them, they are more receptive to what we have to offer and more willing to work with us. Paul has told us to be all things to all people, to win them to Christ. We should be reflecting the same attitude that Christ displayed for us. He humbled Himself to the lowest position, that He might save all who came to Him. And because of His willingness to be so humbled, God exalted Him to the highest position. When we take on the attitude of Christ, we walk in obedience to Him and will be given a position of reigning with Christ. We are to live our lives as if Christ were in the room with us and treat others as He would have treated them. Make Christ’s attitude of unselfishness, servant hood, humility and obedience your way of life.

Have a God Day!
