Galatians 4:3-7
3 And that’s the way it was with us before Christ came. We were slaves to the spiritual powers of this world. 4 But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. 5 God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. 6 And because you Gentiles have become his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, and now you can call God your dear Father. 7 Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, everything he has belongs to you.

Christians are those who believe inwardly that Jesus Christ died for their sins, and that without His sacrifice, there could be no reconciliation with God. Christians exhibit the behavior demonstrated to us by Christ. Outwardly we are different than the world because we are not of this world, even though we live in it. Having received the gift of forgiveness and eternal life, we are now daily challenged to live that life through the power of His Spirit living in us. We are no longer slaves to the sins that once weighed us down. The victory is ours because of what Christ did for us. We are immediately justified and are becoming sanctified being imparted the righteousness of Christ because we believe. We confess with our mouth what we have accepted and we demonstrate our relationship with our behavior, and we are different. No longer controlled by our sin, we are free to show the love of God to those around us. This is true freedom, freedom from sin. Remember the price for your freedom was paid by Christ Jesus because of His love for you. Demonstrate this love through your actions and behaviors.
