Romans 12:1-2
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

What is it that God wants you to do?  Isn’t this the question we are always asking ourselves?  I have heard many Christians say, “If I only knew what God’s will was for me, I would do it.”  Outside of the great commission, left for us by Christ, there is no other answer.  Jesus told us exactly what God’s will for everyone was in Matthew 22:37, “Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'”  The answer to our questions are all in the owners manual given to us by God.  It’s in the Book!  Paul tells us in Romans not to copy what we see the world doing but to let God transform us into a new person by changing our thinking.  You are what you think you are.  As you fill your mind with the truth God has given us in his Word, you will begin to think like Christ.  As you think like Christ, you will act like Christ.  And as you act like Christ, you will become like Christ.  Whatever it is that you think about the most is the thing that is most important to you.  Follow the instructions in Philippians 4:8, “Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right.”  As you read the Word and fill your thoughts with the truth of God, you will know God’s will for your life.  You will love the Lord your God with all of your heart and all of your mind, everything else after that is just minor details.  Don’t get stuck in the minor details, but focus on the One who made you for His own pleasure and think on Him!

Have a God Day!
