1 Corinthians 13:8-13
8 Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear. 9 Now we know only a little, and even the gift of prophecy reveals little! 10 But when the end comes, these special gifts will all disappear. 11 It’s like this: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now. 13 There are three things that will endure-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.

God has given us spiritual gifts so that we may be able to build up His Church and strengthen fellow Christians. But there will come a day when we will see everything with perfect clarity. We will see with the eyes of Christ. But in this world the glass is cloudy and our vision is limited. God has given us His Spirit and spiritual gifts to build us up and help us see more clearly. When we are with God, we will no longer need these spiritual gifts because we will be made perfect.Paul offers this glimpse of the future to give us hope that one day we will be complete when we are with Him. This truth should strengthen our daily walk. We don’t have all the answers now, but one day we will. Faith is our foundation, hope is our attitude and love is our action. You are free to love completely because you understand that God loves you.

Have a God Day!
