Galatians 4:3-7
3 And that’s the way it was with us before Christ came. We were slaves to the spiritual powers of this world. 4 But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. 5 God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. 6 And because you Gentiles have become his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, and now you can call God your dear Father. 7 Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, everything he has belongs to you.

Christians are those who believe inwardly and live outwardly the life of Christ. We have received forgiveness and eternal life from God our Father. We are no longer slaves to sin. We have been freed by the blood of Jesus. Having received the gift of forgiveness and eternal life, we are now daily challenged to live that life with His help. The power of His Spirit in us enables us to become like Christ. Until that day when Christ is fully developed in us, we will continue to struggle against sin. It is the temptation to sin from the world that calls us to come back, but we have the power within us to overcome it. Sin holds no power over us because we are children of God. Remember your position when faced with temptation to sin. You are not a slave but a child of the King!

Have a God Day!
