Colossians 4:2-6

2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. 3 Don’t forget to pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to preach about his secret plan-that Christ is also for you Gentiles. That is why I am here in chains. 4 Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. 5 Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone.

Have you ever grown tired of praying for someone to know the Lord as Savior? Paul says we should devote ourselves to prayer and to be alert in prayer. Our persistence is an expression of our faith that God will answer our prayers. Faith shouldn’t die if the answer comes slowly, for God’s delay may be God’s way of working His will. We can have no way of knowing all of the circumstances surrounding the person we are praying for. Or all of the ways that God is working to draw them to His love. When we pray, we need to trust that God is working the circumstances of their lives to bring them to Himself. God is working in the lives of all people to come to Him. Some turn Him away and some just need more time. The Holy Spirit is doing His job by working beyond their knowledge to bring them to accepting Christ as Savior. So never give up. Never stop praying for those you know who need Him. When you pray, know that God is present, always listening and will always answer your prayer. Maybe not in ways you had hoped, but in ways that He knows are best.

Have a God Day!
