Romans 12: 1-2

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

The behaviors and customs of this world are turning away from God. As we come to the end of this age, we will see the world adapt a “religion” that is all inclusive of every kind of sin. Actually this world religion does not recognize anything as sin. But God is calling you to a higher standard, because of what He has done for you. He asks that we make our bodies a holy and living sacrifice for Him. What does this mean in the world we live in today? It means we go against what is popular, what is acceptable by the world and what is no longer considered sin. We look to the Word for our standard regarding our bodies. The Word is very clear, stating that any sex outside of a man-women marriage is sin. Say that too loud just about anywhere and you will be labeled homophobic or a hate monger. It is now illegal for a preacher in Canada to preach against the sin of homosexuality. They consider it hate language and it is a punishable crime. The USA is not far behind. The Episcopalians and now the Lutherans have accepted homosexuals by accepting them into positions of leadership as pastors and priests. This is blatantly going against the Word of God. But Romans is the Word of God and He is asking us to make our bodies a living sacrifice to Him. We cannot embrace only the parts of the Word we like and ignore the rest because we do not like what it tells us to do. Examine your heart, do you truly understand what Christ did for you and do you love Him? Don’t take the position of telling Him how to do it. He is sovereign and He is Almighty and He wrote the Book. Just because you have a desire for sexual activity outside of God’s standard, does not make it right. God did make you to be a sexual person, but going outside of His Word regarding your body is sin. Don’t take anyone’s word regarding this issue, go to the Word of God and seek answers yourself and then pray about it. God will lead you to do what is right.

Have a God Day!
