Mark 5:25-34
25 And there was a woman in the crowd who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors through the years and had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she was worse. 27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched the fringe of his robe. 28 For she thought to herself, If I can just touch his clothing, I will be healed. 29 Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel that she had been healed! 30 Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes? 31 His disciples said to him, All this crowd is pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’ 32 But he kept on looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and told him what she had done. 34 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. You have been healed.

The disciples thought it was a very peculiar question since the whole crowd was pressing in on Him. But only one touched Him in faith for healing! The situation is the same today. There are a lot of people who use the name of Jesus freely. They are running around saying that it is Jesus this, and Jesus that, and they think they know Him. Surely they know who He is, but they have not reached out in faith to touch Him like this woman touched Him, for she touched him in faith believing for healing. Many will be like those in Matthew 7:22-23, “On judgment day many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.” In other words they acted on their own behalf and were not doing the work for Christ. Have you reached out to touch Christ in faith believing that He died for your sins? Or are you still stumbling around in the darkness of your sin? Be like this woman and do not doubt and when you use the name of Jesus, use it as your Lord and Savior and He will meet you and heal you as you reach out to Him.

Have a God Day!
