2 Corinthians 3:7-18
7 That old system of law etched in stone led to death, yet it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. 8 Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory when the Holy Spirit is giving life? 9 If the old covenant, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new covenant, which makes us right with God! 10 In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new covenant. 11 So if the old covenant, which has been set aside, was full of glory, then the new covenant, which remains forever, has far greater glory. 12 Since this new covenant gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory fading away. 14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 15 Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings ,their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.  16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away. 17 Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. 18 And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

Whoever turns to Jesus Christ is removed from darkness and brought into the Light. The veil is removed from their minds and the Holy Spirit of God now reflects the glory of God through them. We are brought into right relationship with God. He starts the process in us to become like Christ. We must keep our minds on this goal and continue on, “For in Him we live and move and have our being”, Acts 17:28. The New Covenant of God now states that His laws are written in our hearts and we want to do His will because of what He has done for us. We are filled with the joy of the Lord and one day we will rule with Him. This is the goal we keep in mind. There is nothing that we cannot do with Christ Jesus in us.  We repeat Philippians 4:13 over and over, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We have the freedom only peace with God can bring. If you do not feel this peace, then look at your relationship with Christ. Do you spend time with Him and discuss your life with Him? Do you take time to thank Him for all that He has done for you? If not, then maybe you should start there. Remember you are a child of the Light and as His child He wants you to know Him. Start today, take 10 minutes and spend time with Him singing, praying or reading His Word and see what a difference it will make.

John 5:19-30
19 Jesus replied, “I assure you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and tells him everything he is doing, and the Son will do far greater things than healing this man. You will be astonished at what he does. 21 He will even raise from the dead anyone he wants to, just as the Father does. 22 And the Father leaves all judgment to his Son, 23 so that everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. But if you refuse to honor the Son, then you are certainly not honoring the Father who sent him. 24 ‘I assure you, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.’ 25 ‘And I assure you that the time is coming, in fact it is here, when the dead will hear my voice, the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live. 26 The Father has life in himself, and he has granted his Son to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge all mankind because he is the Son of Man. 28 Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, 29 and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to judgment. 30 But I do nothing without consulting the Father. I judge as I am told. And my judgment is absolutely just, because it is according to the will of God who sent me; it is not merely my own.’
Holy Bible, New Living Translation, (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.) 1996.

Whoever has the Son, has life.  Outside of Him, there is no life at all. To find the way to God, to understand the truth of God’s Word and to receive the gift of life, begins with repentance and faith. Believing that Jesus Christ is God and came to earth as a man is the beginning of life. To repent means to turn from the former to the new. If you recognize the sin in your life and turn away from it and ask Jesus to forgive your sin, then you will spend eternity with Him. Because of the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for your sin and because you believe, you can be free from your sin.  Only through the Son, can we have fellowship with the Father. Only through the power of God’s Spirit can we understand the truth. As we abide with Christ, His Spirit lives in us and we can have fellowship with the Father. We believe and hear the voice of God calling us to the life of Christ Jesus. We then becomes a child of the Most Holy God and we receive the peace that only He can give. Listen to the message Christ gave us and then believe, receive and live it.
