Philippians 3:7-11
7 I once thought all these things were so very important, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. 8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God’s law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10 As a result, I can really know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that, somehow, I can experience the resurrection from the dead!

Paul, at the end of his life, still had the ambition to know Christ. Today some Christians give the impression that they have complete knowledge and they only need to polish their halo every morning and are ready to take off at any moment. Yet Paul, the greatest missionary the world has ever seen, said at the end of his life, “My ambition is still to know Christ his person and the power of his resurrection.” If Paul felt this way, then how much more should we? As long as we live in this world, there will be more to know about Christ and His love. We never will “arrive” this side of heaven. That means, we never stop working at becoming more like Him. We never stop working for Him. Any Christian who sits back and does nothing for God, does not understand the power of the Spirit living in them.  We are not saved by works but we are saved for works. Never stop growing in your relationship with Christ and the work you do for Him will never stop. It will be a motivation for you to live for God.

Have a God Day!
