Ephesians 6:10-18
10 A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and b1ood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. 13 Use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.

We are all in a battle even though Christ has already defeated Satan and holds the keys to Death and Hades. Satan still has some control in this world of sin. There is still sickness, death, crime, war and today we are witnessing open blatant sin of all kinds. Some of it is legal and condoned by our government. Be sure God will judge all sin not covered by the Blood of His precious Son. But the fact is while we are in this world, we are in a fight and need to be prepared to battle. Christ wants us to engage and be alert and knowledgeable to what we can do. A chick coming out of it’s egg will struggle sometimes for hours as it pecks and pecks to break out. If you help it come out by breaking it’s shell, he will not be strong enough to live and will die. He is strengthen by the struggle. We are like that chick and as we struggle to live in this world we become stronger if we use every piece of Gods armor to resist the enemy. Christ did not remove us from the battle, but did tell us how to fight. Prepare yourselves with the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Word, pray for power from the Holy Spirit. You will be surprised at the victory that is your, if you just take it.

Have a God Day!
