Hebrews 11:1-6
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. 2 God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith. 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. 4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering td God than Cain did. God accepted Abel’s offering to show that he was a righteous man. And although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us because of his faith. 5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying “suddenly he disappeared because God took him.” But before he was taken up, he was approved as pleasing to God. 6 So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Faith is an active principle that always puts Christ first. Faith and our common sense are always at odds with each other. It does not make sense for us to believe that God will provide a way for us when we can see no plan, or no way out of our situation. When we need to understand why we are at this place, at this time in our lives, our common sense always tries to put things in order according to our thinking. We look to our own abilities to change our lives. God is quietly telling us to be still and know He is God and all we want is to make it all go away by our own power. Faith and common sense are not the same they stand in the relationship of the natural and the spiritual. Faith must be tried before the reality of faith is actual. To trust that God will provide for us and not look to how we can do it, is the essence of faith. And it is always a fight it is always going against the natural and trusting in the spiritual. Faith is the whole person rightly related to God by the power of the Holy Spirit. Take that situation you are facing today apply faith to it, bring it to the Father and trust Him for the answer.

Have a God Day!
