1 Corinthians 2:13-16
13 In telling you about these gifts we have even used the very words given to us by the Holy Spirit, not words that we as men might choose. So we use the Holy Spirit’s words to explain the Holy Spirit’s facts. 14 But the man who isn’t a Christian can’t understand and can’t accept these thoughts from God, which the Holy Spirit teaches us. They sound foolish to him because only those who have the Holy Spirit within them can understand what the Holy Spirit means. Others just can’t take it in. 15 But the spiritual man has insight into everything, and that bothers and baffles the man of the world, who can’t understand him at all. 16 How could he? For certainly he has never been one to know the Lord’s thoughts, or to discuss them with him, or to move the hands of God by prayer. But, strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.

When Jesus Christ physically left this world, He sent a Comforter to us, the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit living within us, we can not understand the Word of God. It is the Spirit that draws us to God and to His Grace. Those who do not have the Spirit think the Word is foolishness. They can not understand. They have chosen to close theirs minds to God and have chosen self over Him who gives life. But, as a child of God, we have the very mind of Christ within us. He gives us words to say to those who are hurting or lost. He gives us the power to move the hands of God through prayer. We need to realize who we are in Christ. We need to come out and use the authority given to us and do the works set before us for Him. Do not be deceived, read the Word and bury it in your heart. When you are confused or have doubts, speak the Word, for you have the very mind of Christ within you.

Have a God Day!
