Good Morning!

Psalm 19:12-14
12 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
13 Keep me from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
14 May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Holy Bible, New Living Translation, (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.) 1996.

Sins committed without awareness are a problem for many people today. We just move forward without thinking about what we are doing or we have done it for so long it does not seem like a sin to us. God wants us to be aware of all of our actions and to model them after Him. If we to be like Christ, we must be aware of all our thoughts, actions and motives. It is hard enough to be aware of the deliberate sin, let alone the sins we are not aware of. Many then ask, why should we care, aren’t all of our sins covered by the Blood of Christ? Yes, this is true, but to have God within us means we turn away from our sin and deliberately purpose in our hearts not to continue to sin. This is what it means to have the mind of Christ. We know that as long as we live in this sinful world, that we will never be able to live without sin, but we continue to grow more and more into His image. Becoming more like Christ means we sin less and less. No, we are not perfect, but we continue to grow. It is what is in our hearts and minds that is lived in our behavior on a daily basis. And those with Christ within them lean on the Rock and their Redeemer for direction and power to become more like Him. To be more like Him, we must know Who He is by reading His Word and spending time with Him. Keep your thoughts on pure and your words and actions will follow!

Have A God Day!

Hebrews 4:12-16
12 For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we realty are. 13 Nothing in an creation can hide from him. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes. This is the God to whom we must explain all that we have done. 14 That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.
Holy Bible, New Living Translation, (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.) 1996.

The Word of God is living and sharper than a two-edged sword. This means it can cut through a heart faster and quicker than our words. When dealing with the unsaved, we must use the Word of God like the tool it was meant to be. It is living because once spoken and heard, it will accomplish the purpose it was set out to do. God’s Word is true and He gave us these Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.(BIBLE)

But how do we receive grace, God’s unmerited favor when we are not righteous? God can not go against His own Word and can not come to us when we are not righteous, so how do we receive His grace? And can we ever become righteous on our own? The Bible tells us that no one is righteous, all have gone their own way to sin. There is nothing we have done, said or thought that we can hide from God. And one Day we will stand before Christ and explain it to Him. That is why we must go to Christ and confess our sins and He will be faithful and forgive us. We can then approach the throne of God boldly being completely righteous, because the Blood of Christ covers us. When God looks at us, He will see us through the righteousness of Christ, because we have accepted Him and made Him Lord of our lives.

Because Christ knows what it means to be tempted, He will provide a way out for us when we are tempted. He was tempted in every way just as we are, and yet Christ did not sin. If you do not have the honor of coming before the throne of God today, get on your knees and acknowledge Him as Lord, confess you sins before Christ and He will set you free from the power of sin and death and make you His child with all of the rights and privileges that encompasses. But you have to do it, you have to come to Him and bend a knee, confess that you were lost and needed the grace that Christ died to give you. Do it today, do it now!

Have a God Day!
