2 Timothy 3:14-17
14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. 17 It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

The Word of God is more than a road map to righteous living. It is our source of power in time of need. The entire Bible has been given to us by our Father to help and guide us in a world of sin and darkness. But no Christian is stronger than his or her knowledge of the Word of God. It is a lamp to our feet showing us the next step, every step of the way. It keeps us on the right path that leads to living a victorious righteous life in Christ. After we have accepted the grace of God through Christ Jesus, we are no stronger that our understanding of Him through His Word. And His Word only becomes real to us when we know it and apply it. It is in the applying of God’s Word that we find the truth of it. Knowing the Word alone is not enough, but it must be lived day to day in our lives. Do you know the Word? Good now start living it. If you do not know the Word, then start to read and study it. God will guide and direct you and He will show you how to live it. For it is only in living a righteous life in a sinful world that Christ will show through you. And this comes only through knowing Him, knowing His Word and then living His Word through the power of Him in you.
