Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then Jesus said to the disciples, If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me. 25 If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life. 26 And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?

Christians embrace a life that goes against the grain of what the world sets as a standard. A daily practice of learning to walk in obedience to the King of kings, will set us against the world. Yet this is what Christ requires of anyone who claims to be His follower. We must set aside our selfishness and have simple faith in God and obey. By doing so, we leave the world behind and gain Christ. There is nothing more important in our whole lives than our relationship with Christ Jesus. Nothing else will pass from this life to next except that. If we die to self and allow Christ to live through us, we gain the only thing of true value. Instead of trying to keep up with the world, change your direction and walk with Christ. Ask Him to take your hand and lead you through each day of your life so that you stay on track with Him. Study His Word and apply it to every aspect of your life and you will gain what really matters most.

Have a God Day!
